Sleep Pod
Specialised Orthotic Services have been listening to therapists and families over recent years and have come to understand that, whilst corrective ‘sleep systems’ are very important for young, correctable spines/ hips, some children and adults need a more accommodating mattress support. Therefore we now offer a bespoke ‘sleep-pod’, which mirrors the client’s shape in their preferred sleep position, thus supporting their posture and hopefully preventing any further change.
Each Sleep pod starts with an assessment from one of our highly trained clinical engineers, preferably in conjunction with a therapist who knows the client. At the assessment, using the vacuum consolidation positioning mattress, the correct position is determined and this is the basis for the finished Sleep Pod.
